Day 1: Warriors @ KK Sombor

Final Score:
Sombor: 17
Sabac: 150

The Sabac Warriors, recently moving up in division and still under the strain of discussing player extensions with Gordon Goldhammer after finally agreeing on terms with starting small forward James Craig, still went out and left everything on the floor.

A convincing display of why they dominated the Serbia Division 1, and why they deserved to move up to the Serbia Prima division, the Sabac Warriors came out and demolished KK Sombor by a baffling 133 points.

With Robert MccCrary getting the Man of the Match on 33 points (10/12 FG, 4/6 3PT), 13 rebounds and 5 assists in 30 minutes, he got a run for his money in the man of the match decision with Philip Davey (32 points (16/21 FG), 13 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block in 30 minutes) and Daniel Simmons (24 points (9/12 FG, 1/9 3PT, 3/10 FT), 18 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in 34 minutes) going off for absoltuely spectacular games. Solid all around contributions from every player rounded out an absolutely devestating performance.

On the other end of the spectrum, the defensive presence of Sabac was absolutely stifling. Anderson Fan, the starting point guard for Sombor went 1 for 21 from the field in 46 minutes, while Charles Leung went 0 for 14 from the field. Only four players total scored for Sombor, the only player in double digits being Baggio Lee (10 points (1/5 FG, 2/9 3PT, 2/6 FT), 2 blocks in 29 minutes.)

Sabac's victory celebration will be short lived, however, as the Warriors have to get ready to play KK Leskovac Babies, last season's Serbia Cup winner and Prima Serbia divisional champion. A tough match up to be sure, but the Warriors vowed to not be intimidated by the impressive resume.

Sorry, Zei, my phoneline is in the steady act of dying on me. The site never said I had a new contract, but luckily I just clicked on it and there it was. :P Anyways, I think I am the best player stat-wise on the team now. :D Only 76 bucks spent so far, the team we play today is nuts, lets hope we give a good performance against them.
